Are Ram and memory the same thing.

It would vary on the context, but in some cases yes. However, it can also refer to flash drives, usb drives, ROM, and various other things.

To put it simply... it is not suppose to be the same thing, but some people think of it that way.

So RAM is a type of memory. Memory is not a type of RAM.
