I'd like to call myself both, but since ~70% of my wins are Domination and ~10% Conquest, ~20% other, I think it's pretty obvious I lean towards warmongering. Even when I'm playing for a peaceful victory like Space Race or Culture, I tend to do a lot of fighting.

I don't know how to be a Builder. I just warmonger for the pleasure of wiping that smirk of leader's faces, then demanding all their techs....BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Wow, I thought Antilogic and Gooblah were peaceful.......

not even! you should see the fights those two get into when they meet in a dark alley

sorry, i couldn't resist. i'll go sit in a corner now as punishment *giggle*

Hehehehehehehehehe....... I think I'm gonna have some fun when I get Multi on Bts. We'll see who's the best Warmonger.;)

Argh. I can't have fun in a war which I planned long ago and which go exactly as planned. Then rise and repeat...? Boring. I only have fun in war if it is a desperate war, and in most of the cases for me it is pretty desperate!
Specially defensive wars!

But that is probably just me...

I'm a builder, it depends a bit, but I have a tendency to overexpand then build up X_x

Leaning towards warmongers. Lately I've been a lot more selective about my cities, razing most of them just so I can move them to my liking, with the notable exception of my first expansion site because I really need a strategic resource. But once I have 8 very good cities (Huge map), and can build the national wonders like Oxford and Wall Street, I become a lot more peaceful, and will only war as an oppertunist or if I'm part of a juicy dogpile.

I usually build up the cities first, then build up the war machine. Then when the 1600's come I bring out the 1600 lb. whoop ass crate of tea! :mwaha:

Is that a challenge? I'm in for it :)

I tend to be in the middle somewhere. I find building strategies extremely easy but warring is almost always the answer when I play. I am pretty greedy as most are when I play.I can be 8 city sites out from my captial and go "Ooooh, look at that nice spot there with fishes and silk and dye.
-20 turns go by-
"OK settler off you go to found our empire a new city. We don't need any of the resources there but it will be awesome anyways. OK only 2 more turns and you ... WTH! China! that was my spot you #&@*! Alright soldiers time to declare war on our former potential friend China."

Soldier: "Uh sir... he is like the only guy on this continent that doesn't hate us."

"Well, in about 400 years we will discover another continent with more people on it. We will make a friend over there."

:P

I don't really go on many crusades though oddly enough. I do here and there. But usually I am just trying to carve out a nice size empire of about 20-30+ cities. Unfortunatley, someone has to give up room usually for me to do so. Though most wars I finish, I didn't start. It can suck getting rid of those invading stacks but once they are gone, the tides do a complete reversal. Alot of times most of my destruction comes from being declared on.

Lately I've taken to a more builder oriented strategy. Most of the time I make the other civs kill each other by bribing them to declare war on each other. Then I just quietly sit in the background building up a huge military. Then I wage wars against the weak just to vassal them or take their land and then I also tend to attack the biggest civs so I can eliminate my competitors. Buwawawa

Peace be to all beings!

A builder, but when I get Beyond the Sword, I plan to investigate the "investigative services" as thoroughly as possible -- in other words, I plan to spy like a madman!

:scan:

Builder dude. And that's wierd cuz the only civs I play as are Rome, Byzantines, Greece, and then the occasional England or America.

I'm generally a warmonger. The Pyramids are nice, but they won't put up a fight to save your city from invading armies.

i'm still the only "another" vote. why am i not surprised? *giggle*

Many of my strategies involve at least some fighting. I tend to win a lot of domination victories, but that is mostly because it is the most obvious way for me to go with winning. I hate waiting around for the Space Race, and most of my games end by the Industrial Age. And for some reason, Shaka, Montezuma or some other combo of warmongers are always on my borders, so I'm fighting anyway. The AP might increase the Diplomatic victory wins I have, though, so I'll keep you updated. :)
