Thanks, I figured it was time for a change. I did a capture of my screen saver.

Now....how. can. we. fix. this.
any ideas?

The easiest is to point out to Firaxis (and Breakaway) what you don't like. There are no guarantees that anything'll be done, but it has worked in the past.

What I don't understand is the following: When you select a sugar plantation or whatever in the civilopedia menu, there is an 3D-image of it. It would take half an hour to make them appear in the aerial view, because they actually exist...!

Bad Brett, I think the problem was that the City View was hard coded to display exactly what Civanilla displayed; no more, no less. To add the couple of new things in PTW they recoded that (in a minimalist fashion). From what I've heard this was a piece of code that was tricky to work with for some reason. I think it would take programmers' time to change this (especially to make it flexible and open to modders), in addition to artists' time. This may take a few weeks work to do right (especially if it needs to be flexible enough to handle all the different configurations that the Conquests and other custom scenarios need and still work with all old mods).

Someone in this thread said it was possible to fix by using a mod/editing a file- at least for the epic game. Granted, that wouldn't cause everything to show up in aerial view, but would at least make some of us happier than we are at the moment. SO.... can anyone share some insight on how to acutally DO that?

this are my words. I hope someone can help ;)

But i hope also this is integrated in the next patch :goodjob:

AKOdin82, you mean editing the conquest file? You can uncheck the read only flag in the properties and then open with the editor. Make all your changes and then save as conquest.whatever-the-file-extension-is. Unfortunately, you cannot play on a custom map this way or with unique scenario rules.
