Wenger had a brilliant reply to this.

Ferguson's record is good, very good - which is very hard for me to say, but he is not the best manger in english football history as many people say. For me that award has to go to Brian Clough. Anyone who wins two successive European cups has got to be good but to do it with Nottingham Forest, amazing. Then he went to Derby and in two seasons took them from division two to winning the championship. Why he was never given the England job is beyond me.

Brian Clough wasn't given the England job because he was too outspoken . But he was still a great manager.
