Just thought we could make a list of the different rewards we can get from combining artifacts. I'll update the post as we share.

Old Earth

Drone Command (building unlocked) Work 2 more tiles than a City has Citizens.
Pan-Spectral Observatory (building unlocked) +100 production for Orbital Units, +2 city Orbital Strike Range.
Xenomass Bath House (building unlocked) +2 Culture, Units heal 100% after one turn in City.

Alien

Progenitor

Quantum Politics (Wonder unlocked) +100% Virtue acquisition speed.

Old Earth/Alien

Xenoanthropology: Artifacts are discovered 20% more often.

Mixed

Dimension-Folding complex (Wonder Unlocked) -50% Unhealth from Population.
Old-Voice Archives: +10% yields when at War.
Slumber-Slaughter Extract: +50% Worker Build Speed.
Soul-Discerning Training: +25% Covert Operations Speed.
Statecraft: +2 Diplomatic Capital from Agreements.
 
On a related note, has anybody else entirely stopped getting artifacts? I got exactly 18 of them and poof stopped entirely. I've dug up about a dozen expedition sites and found tons of pods and yet nothing.

I was getting them nearly every one and now nothing. I wonder if you can't get the same artifacts again? It would certainly explain it, and suck.

EDIT: I just checked and there are 72 of them. So I certainly didn't get them all. Only other thing I can think of is I got some bug, or each one can only be found once in the entire world. Which would really suck.

EDIT 2: Oh I think I see what's happening. In the xml it mentions an acquisition rate change. I'm thinking every time you find one it gets less likely you will find another. So I'm just into the really low chances of finding them if that's true.

Sky Chitin: Increased Strength and Range to air units
Zygotic Engineering: Accelerated Outpost growth

Projected Chassis Construction: Increased Worker movement speed
Tidal Navigation: Increased defense to naval units against ranged attacks
Vapor Shield: Increased defense for embarked units

MIXED CATEGORY REWARDS: COLONY BONUSES
Tesseract Targeting: Cities can attack over terrain obstacles
Soul-Discerner Training: Accelerated Covert operations speed
Xenoanthropology: Increased Artifact discovery rate
Slumber-Slaughter Extract: Accelerated Worker build speed
Ground-Penetrating LIDAR: Accelerated Expedition speed
Statecraft: Increased Diplomatic Capital gain
 
Modifying that value fixed it for me in case anyone is interested. Was even save game compatible.

No idea if there are any side effects yet, but at least I can get artifacts again.

EDIT: So, maybe not savegame compatible. Just got lucky after changing it.
 
The most insane one I found was by getting 3 progenitor omes and it allowed me to build a wonder that shaves off 30% of all beakers on all technologies.
 
I just finished my first game and I went heavy on the exploration early with the artifact scanner loadout and got a ton of stuff unlocked.
-Drone Command: Increase the number of tiles that can be worked
-Dimension Folding Complex: Reduced Unhealth from City population (Was 50% i believe, crazy)
-Zygotic Engineering: Accelerated Outpost growth
-Slumber-Slaughter Extract: Accelerated Worker build speed(again 50%)
-Soul-Discerner Training: Accelerated Covert operations speed
-Tidal Navigation: Increased defense to naval units against ranged attacks
-Vapor Shield: Increased defense for embarked units
I got the majority of the finds on the map and went for 3pc turn ins and it was well worth the effort I thought.

Damn, that explains it. The artifact system is the most fun out of anything in this expansion (for me) so it's frustrating to not get any more.

Hello Shidan, can you share some pointers about the way to make that change?

I've read a bit about XML editing for mods, but I have trouble finding where the artefacts are or what line to change. >-<

Just finished playing a game where I dug up plenty of artifacts but got none of these rewards. Are there only one per game? Do you compete with the AI for these rewards? I definitely got over 30 artifacts but none of these - am I doing something wrong?
 
You have to combine 3 artifacts to get these effects.
