At long last: 1.21 released!

Does the Druidism movie play properly when you do it that way?

Your game doesn't crash for me no matter whether I found Druidism or let the Oracle finish first. Suggests that it's a problem specific to your system unfortunately. Can you try the saved game again but by founding different religions? In particular, test Asatru, Olympianism, and Teotl (all custom movies). Let me know which crash and which don't, and if you're able to see their movies at all, even if it doesn't crash.

I think you may have posted the wrong crash log. That one is identical to the one OscarWildebeest posted.

Both please.

It's an animation issue, seemingly caused by one of the leaders contacting you (or you them), with a particular attitude. I can't replicate the crash, so load the saved game and try contacting each leader, see if it reoccurs. Start with Basil or Hongwu, as they're new in 1.21. Let me know.

Hmm -

Well, I contacted all of them, with no problems. Crash still happened. Then, on a lark, I decided to try a few variables to change the situation and the first one has worked so far: I declared war on Mongols as they were blocking my settlement party from access to the holy mountain. That seemed to do something as it has allowed the game to continue.
I did notice a message "Barbarian will - I forget the rest." right before the crash.
So for now, I can continue which makes me happy enough.
If I could only get past that occasional "waiting for other divs" bug.....

Declaring war will have changed a bunch of leaders' attitudes towards you, meaning they perhaps wouldn't have contacted when they would have before. Or if they still did, they may have used a different animation, thus avoiding the crash. Did any leaders contact you during or straight after the turn that used to crash?

Yeah, that one is a right pain. Can't fix it but looking into methods of brute forcing out of it.

Not to change the subject, but wasn't the Colonist unit supposed to be removed?

My alternative solution had problems of it's own, so I left it as is for now. The only problem with the Colonist is that it doesn't work if a human player founds a city via queued orders. The AI doesn't suffer this issue.

1. "Custom Scenario" still crashes for me.

Unfortunately the crash report you provided didn't have the details I needed to backtrace the problem. I'm not sure if that's because such details weren't generated or if they're cached somewhere else. Because I can't replicate the issue myself, all we can do is hope that other people with the issue send their crash reports too, and some element in common becomes apparent.

2. Natural wonders are called "National Wonders" in the Civilopedia.

Bah, I'm forever getting those mixed up.

I did not notice any. I am at around 1300 right now; have had a series of occasional crashes which don't seem to replicate when I restart from the most recent saved game.

One thing I have noticed, and I am not sure if this is on purpose, is that golden ages seem to be way overpowered. If I choose the right civ (warrior code I think is the one which gives golden ages when great general emerge) and build the right wonders, I can have a golden age throughout most of the game. The issue seems to be that they stack onto of each other. So right now I am in the middle of a 68 turn golden age and earlier I had a 45 turn one. Mind you, it was great for catching up and showing Ekatrina not to mess with me, but it seems overpowered.

I hoped that all the GPP changes this version would make this less prevalent, but seems not. Will consider some further changes.

I seem to get a crash, has happened in two games i started. I'm including the crash report from the latest.

Can you please post a saved game from just prior to the crash?

If it's being left in for now, then it should probably provide a free Cemetery instead of a Well, as the current incarnation of the latter is now supposed to be location-restricted.

Sorry, only just seen this. I managed to get the game to continue by just waiting a turn and then founding Druidism after the Oracle was completed. I'll try with other religions and get back to you.

Xyth, I've been unable to recreate the crash myself. All the movies play OK, even Druidism. No crash. Must have been a system thing. Good news, anyway.

The games crashes about 3 turns after this auto save

I can replicate this crash, but I'm still trying to find the cause.

Okay, good to know. Very strange nonetheless, hope you don't encounter it too often again.

Have had 4 or 5 games crash between 1400 and 1600-- just gets stuck on "waiting for other divs" and the globe spins forever. I have all animations turned off, since I like to play on a laptop. First crashes were on large maps, so switched to small and still hit a wall.

Also, as for Golden Ages: are you supposed to be able to build a great temple multiple times, and get a golden age each time? This happened to me with Thais-- capital kept spitting out Great Prophets, kept building whatmacallits and getting golden ages.

Have pushed a few turns forward, but now it crashed when i try to end the present turn, no matter what i do. Would you like that saved game/turn?

Eternal 'Waiting for other civs" is a bug present even in default BTS. It cannot be fixed without breaking Mac compatibility. It's caused by a unit getting stuck in an endless loop of joining and splitting from a group. At this time the only solution is to go into worldbuilder and delete different units until you find the culprit. Most common triggers are naval units passing through other naval units (especially Pirates/Privateers).

I'm investigating methods to 'brute force' out of it.

Build the same Great Temple in the same city again and again? Definitely not, if that's happening it's a bug. Building your state religion's Great Temple in a different city each time is meant to trigger a Golden Age for Spiritual leaders though.

Have pushed a few turns forward, but now it crashed when i try to end the present turn, no matter what i do. Would you like that saved game/turn?

Yes please. Crash report too, in case it's a different type of crash.
