Attacko's -Statues, Facism, Industry.

Specific Examples of why Chitzen Itza is better than the Pyramids for Montezuma in a mini-Walkthrough.

Montezuma Aztec Empire
Spiritual- No anarchy. Double production speed of Temples and the Cristo Redentor wonder.
Aggressive-Free Combat I promotion for melee and gunpowder units.
Double production speed of Barracks and Drydock.

Techs - Mysticism/Hunting

:rudolf: I build on a hill next to Deer and a river.

:nya: Close already to Polytheism i pre-tech that and stop before i discover Hinduism then switch to Mining while building a Scout. After someone discovers Hinduism the tech is to Bronzeworking and my Scouts discover the Wheel and a Map and Shaka.

:xtree: I get Bronzeworking build a warrior and steal a shaka worker that i bring back after finding Bronze next to the capitol. Build another worker and chop while switching the tech towards Priesthood to pick up the Oracle.

:religion: Meanwhile tech towards Writing to nab Code of Laws after making peace with Shaka the workerless and chopping his outlying forests. claim Confucionism, and chop Sacrifical Gardens and hyper-chop Chitzen Itza

:hammers: Lastly- after finding Marble/Stone tech towards Masonry .

:strength: Next is Ironworking and dead Zulu spearmen at the feet of Jaguars exercising in animation over their corpses, claiming cities that have +25% added defense and generating great prophet points for the :religion:confucius religious building, and adding +6 Culture, and capturing the Pyramids that Shaka thought he could build.
Libraries, Sacrificial Altars, and free workers and cities should win you either the Space Race or Domination, or Time.

Tell me again how the Chitzen Itza helped? Did shaka attack you or something? Did you actually pop a gp and build a religious economy?

Everything stated is very vauge, and really your strategy in this case is just a general strat having nothing to do with the Itza or the Pyramids.

This "vague understanding" includes examples, statistics, theory ect, as oppossed to "um no its not". Many focus on a wonder in isolation and then draw an incorrect assumption.

Although I still don't understand how any strategy can be built around chitzen izta, no strategy should be consider in isolation, you're right in that regard.

That's why the best advice is to play the map. The land dictates your play more than anything else, after that there's a ton of other factors like who your opponents are, if you pop and techs from goodie huts, did you manage to found a religion, etc etc.

That's why all "build this wonder and do this" advice needs to be taken within context of the situation. It is not beneficial in all cases, and harmful in some because of the resources you devote to get such wonder. Really ignoring wonders altogether is a great way to improve your overall gameplay.

A fraud post. Attacko does not write in that style nor drink beer. A liar giving advice...
".. stopped paying attention at that point since my eyes had started to bleed from viewing this drivel"
(in essence- "i lied to discredit someone, and to enhance this lie to dissuade others while offering very little in return, i lie about my lie.")

When someone says something untrue in order to deceive another person, that is a lie. When someone says something untrue in order to make fun of something, that's called satire. Sometimes, when I talk to my son in the morning, I tell him that I'm going to put his shoes on my feet and go to work because his shoes will do a good job of keeping my feet safe and warm. He then says, "That's SILLY! You don't wear MY shoes!". He calls me silly instead of accusing me of lying.

My son is three years old and he understands the difference between these two concepts.

How old are you, Troytheface?

(And just in case anyone was confused, I spoke to Attacko in exactly the same way that Troytheface does: I made up vague nonsense that had no strategic value, but which amused me and then I put Attacko's name on it.)

It is telling that the Venn Diagram examples are done in threes- due in part to the fact most feel, think, comprehend and reason in a 3d-like linear fashion. However, it is with twos and fours (this to that - figure/ground, seasons, keirkagard's either/or ect, that you get closer to an accurate perception and aesthetic sensibilty.
When creating Civ4 Venn Diagrams I suggest staying with the binary pattern of life and not the man-made construct of social intellectual entrapment- ie threes.

Right then...

Not be tolerated, insolent line graphs will be. The logic of Attacko bow before, you will.

"That's why the best advice is to play the map"

Yes, sound advice. However i suggest that manipulating the environment can take many forms and while the topography varies- there are constants- (ie. there will be a food resource, there will be a luxery resource, ect)
While one should indeed "play the map" i suggest "play the map with some sort of changeable plan in mind"
