troy is off my ignore list now for comic relief

dude.amphibious shock elephants
i get into hysterics just thinking about the beauty of it.
why did i not see it before!! the sheer genius!

Fantastic write up Troy, please pass my thanks onto Attacko, he has heped me up my game no end.

The strategies and tactics you describe so eloquently are obviously the product of a higher level of thinking, and as such, it is no surprise that some of the less intellectually gifted on this board cannot comprehend them. They in turn abuse you for their own lack of understanding. Please do not let this deter you, and I for one hope to read more articles from Attacko to improve my play even more.

I'm hoping demoniz has read The Emperor's New Clothes.

I'm also wondering if troy has read e.e. cummings and has a pet cockroach. :mischief:

Cockroaches make good pets. My daughter had one of those Hissing Madagascar ones, it ate dog food and drank water from a damp sponge.

... I would almost bet a cookie that demoniz is in some way related to Obsolete, if he is not simply Obsolete. This sounds so much like him :p

... Uhm, this thread has not (yet) been moved to the OT forum, Bleys ;) Perhaps discussing the idea of cockroach pets belong there

Guys, attacko is Brilliant. I mean Liq beat his first HoF Huge map settler difficulty on the backs of these FEARSOME GG Powered Battle Jumbos.

Now if I can get above Dan Quail in score, Liq might just host an sg to share the love!

Cheers!

lol before today I had never seen a Medic 3 war elephant.

yes thank you for the kind words.

found this from "Attacko's Memoirs of Playing Against the Dumb"

"Catastrophism as a theory trumps and outdates Evolution both as an in game metaphor and real life.

Evolution- ie- cottage building and slow progression in a linear fashion weedles the player into the optimal place to get destroyed. (ie- adaptation to a specific eco system)

Catastrophism- immediate- goes by current events and situations and utilizes the Chaos theory.
to improve a player should realistically be always on the move and adapting.

Attacko: Build every city on a hill!
Feeble settler: Umh sir, but there are no hills on this map at all...
Attacko: Guards, disband that settler! Let's keep moving!

:D Great piece of info here, keep on the good work! :goodjob:

yes, i suspect that new players fail mainly because they are simply not aggressive enough. Wipe out a near civ- use it's workers etc. works since the civI to the last.

other guides are complicated and offer questionable advice. The beauty of Attacko guides is that a kid or a genius can utilize them. The 60 percent of the rest can build cottages i suppose.

and notice they moved my thread from the strategy guide section? strange - but not unexpected. a totalitarian mindset.

lol. ol rolo. I think after making several dozen "ladder" players cry home to mama he retired and is helping with the economy.

he wants to mint silver coins and attack mexico i think.

This doesnt work at all levels though. As you go up in difficulty, the cost of keeping such cities increases too much. Wiping out such a civ would leave a larger area of land for his other neighbors to fill into, making them that much stronger.

I will grant you that Attacko has some cool, fun ideas that are playable at the lower levels.

Maybe you should start naming the articles "Attacko's Guide for Noble", or Prince, or whatever your target player is. This game has a lot of different variables that come into effect, as any true Chaos Theory Expert should well know. Defining the audience you wish to reach will help people take what Attacko thinks more seriously.
