Is there any confirmation/debunking of the possibility that if Austria marries a City State it will/won't vote for it in the United Nations?

If it still votes for you, that would be amazing. I thought it would just because the City State, even though married is still an investment/independent state, it just becomes part of your territory.

A question, now we (theoretically) know all the buildings that will be in G+K, what do you guys think the Coffee House will be replacing?

I think the coffee house will be replaced by a new building. I was thinking how the UA will be great when city-states want to kill each other.

Well, there's only one new building not yet known, so it would have to replace that one. We know the other 12:

Isn't possible for coffee to be introduced as a resource in CiV an that the Coffee House gives some kind of bonus? like a monastery

It's possible, but we've already been given a ton of new resources. Does anyone know if they announced a number for resources?

Also coffee isn't grown in Europe, if there's such a resource it should be in tropic areas..

Vienna is considered the "Spy Capital of the World". It was the setting for Orson Welles' The Third Man, so an espionage bonus would be quite appropriate.

Maria Theresa wasn't picked only for diversity. She's a very good choice no matter. She's actually the first choice that popped into my mind for a leader of Austria as well. If anything, I'd argue that, if diversity factored in, it was because Maria Theresa influenced Firaxis to pick the Austrians, not the other way around.

Say what? She's famous no doubt, but they generally pick the leaders on the leader who is/aw most culturally recognised by the people, and I'd say Maria Theresia is well down that list. Secondly, why would they not pick Austria? Austria had an enormous influence on history that extends far beyond its borders today, it definitely deserves Civ status. Besides, it's not like there aren't any other Civs that could have female leaders.

But for Austria I would have loved to have Metternich instead as the leader.

You're right if, by people, you mean "American people," not "Austrian people." I'd say in America, she's certainly very high on the list of recognized Austrian leaders. Metternich is probably second most famous, but he wasn't an actual ruler.

A coffee resource could easily be a luxury resource and give + for Austria with Coffee House.

There is still a ton of resources that could/should be introduced.

By technicality he was. As the first Chancellor of the Austrian Empire he controlled the government and was the leading diplomat. With that title and extreme influence of Emperor Francis I and the government I would count him as a ruler

True, he was de facto leader. I was thinking of de jure ruler, though. In reality, Bismark was in the same position. I guess that's German prerogative to have their influential statesmen represent them in the game.

That made me 'heh' when I read that. Metternich as the ruler of Austria, the'd have some good one liners for him. But yeah, Maria Theresa is the first person that popped into my head when I thought of Austria. Franz Joseph and Charles III were the other ones. but Franz is noted for sending his empire down the toilet and Charles is more famous for his association with Spain.

The coffee house could be a replacement for the constabulary. I think, might add happiness or culture
