Hello,

I play Civ C3C on a mac. My current goal is to automate a worker to make him clean pollution, and do nothing else. I use the shortcut key "Shift-P", as indicated on this wonderful PDF file: http://www.magnamund.org/Civ3C3Cdata.pdf . However, it does not seem to work: my worker does not move, even though there is a polluted terrain not far from him.

Does anybody know the shortcut for Macintosh computers? Or maybe there is a patch that I should download?

Thank you very much!

If you open Preferences and enable "Show Advanced Unit Action Buttons" you will see all the unit action buttons on screen, including worker automation ones. Each one will display its function and its keyboard shortcut if you hover the mouse over it.

There is one called "Automate: Clear Damage (Shift-D)" that does what you want, I believe.

Note that I don't know whether the automated option will put enough workers on one polluted tile to clear it in one turn. I always prefer to do that rather than spread them about taking multiple turns to clear several tiles, as the citizens can get straight back to working that valuable tile immediately you can clear it. I tend to stack workers in sixes or twelves, or whatever grouping best suits the current productivity, and stack-move them all as soon as a pollution incident occurs.
