Based on Paalikles's one, hope you dont mind Paalikles.

Of course not. Very good IMO. I had difficulties with both adding a hat and a beard, so I thought the holly (which I sampled and transformed using "Photosoup") would be interesting to try.

@ Glad you liked it

@Souron- What about changing the wallpaper to falling snow with an xmas tree in the far background?

(Ultima Dragoon, I always thought your avatar was a winged elephant with a crossbow on its head. :mischief:)

Thanks everyone for making lovely xmas avatars for me. Think I'll use one per week from when term ends! :D

Maybe a christmas cap on the top of the finger? ;)
If it looks good. . .

Maybe. The background is currently blurry becouse it is out of focus. I'm not confident it would look good in focus. Also, I want the avatar to look well put together, which means no odd contrast.

Quite the Christmas rush we have going here...

Reno; here's the one you originally requested

But if you still want to use the other one, here's a transparent version possibility:

mitsho: was that a request? It was very wierdly phrased...

madviking: sure, no problem. Did I go overboard on the snowflakes?

oagersnap: let me know if you want to move the shape of the gradient (ie vertical, oppositwe diagonal, horizontal)

others: I didn't forget about you, you're avatrs are just too hard

EDIT: misseed husky, give me a sec...

It was a request, although I phrased it strangely, but I thought that it is quite clear what I was looking for after so many people did post here... ;)

Oh, and what you did is perfectly fine, thanks a lot, I owe you one... ;)

Husky, I have a few choices for you. I really like the first one/two, I think it may be the coolest work I've done on a request; but don't feel pressured to use it, I'm proud to have just made it. I tried doing some stuff wioh stars, but the balck and white contrast didn't seem to go so well with the softness of your drawing. (Disclaimer on the transparent: it looks a bit off on turnip green, but it's good on all other backgrounds)
(in quotes to display background and transparency) EDIT: uh-oh, it looked a lot better in photoshop, let me see what I can do...) EDIT2: It looks like unless the file size is increased to 11K to allow PNG-28 there's nothing I can do )

to everyone: Let me know if you want to subtly alter something, and remember, to find the filename, right-click the picture and hit properties

@Ybbor: For post holiday postings could you take the image in post #2277, make the background transparent, remove the squigglies on the left and bump the size to max? Coloring is an option too if you want. Thanks.

sure, no problem. I'm no good at colorising that as it's not that sharp (and the sharpening tool distorts it too much), but here's a transparent version in PNG-28 format, which supports partial transparency, so it should blend well with virtually all backgrounds; but it should be changed if you plan to put it to a gif as otherwise it will appear too white

ignore that, it didn't turn out well

...it looked better in photoshop...

Thanks, it looks great. It is 55 x 50 pixels in size. Can you take it up to 70 x 70 without too much loss of crispness?
