What is the difference between an avatar and a custom avatar?

Civ_Man_89, it's not polite to "threadjack", that is, talking/asking about something totally unrelated to the subject of the thread. I understand that you might have simply clicked the wrong button, and hit "Post Reply" instead of "New Thread".
I split your post and Ville's answer from the original AI Cheating thread, and have moved it to Site Feedback, where it more properly belongs.
BTW, the full answer is that an avatar (the picture under your name) is available to all posters. Until you reach 300 posts, you can only choose from the (extensive) list of available Civ-related avatars. Once you have 300 posts, you can post and use your own "custom" avatar (within site-defined limits, of course. )
