Aztecs and Oracle Combo

I haven't tried it out yet, but it seems like the Oracle could be incredibly useful to the aztecs. With the aztecs, the only thing you care about when you attack is wether you win or lose, and the oracle will answer that question. You'll have nothing to lose in attacking equal or slightly superior unitsj just try an attack and if the oracle advices against it, abort it and try again later when the luck may be in your favor. And since defeating equal foes yields full levels your units should also rise in experience quicker.

Has anyone had any experience with this tactic? Seems like it could be quite powerful.

Yeah it is really powerful. But there is not much time until somebody invents the technology that makes it obsolete(i can`t remeber what it was), and then the oracle is useless. But just try aztecs and blitz!

I think he means an unit who got the scouting bonus, which allows you to see units defending a city, but I'm not sure it's the same thing as the Oracle bonus, which predicts the outcome of a fight.

or use the scout that come with the Galley.
And to be honest, by the time you have the oracle you opponent will have armies of archers.

The Oracle doesn't reveal the power of enemy units, it predicts the random outcome of a fight.

Say, if you have 2 equal warriors fight, who will win is determined by a coin toss. Now with the Oracle, you'll know the outcome of that toss.
