Who remembers this game? I remember playing it on my friend's Amiga computer when I was a lad, freshly surfacing unscathed from the just completed Cold War.

"Balance of Power" history

I need it for Windows... I'm looking for it now. There should be some sort of emulator or something, you can find tons of old Atari games, etc available as online emulators...

I'm actually not sure which version I played!
It was early 90s...

I have to play test them at home, can't play from work.

There's also a new one that pits the USA vs Middle East vs Far East vs etc to have an updated appeal. I haven't play that one.

I spent about 2 hours trying to get the 1990 version (which is, in fact, the version I played years ago) to work on my Windows Vista, to no avail.

Does anyone know how I can get it to work?

It sounds awesome but I assure you it was not. I remember playing this too on my apple IIc... I recall a lot of blowing up the world which sounds a lot more fun than it actually was.
