The main problem with people pushing for things like a balanced budget amendment, flat taxes or any other libertarian idea is the they aren't considering the consequences. With libertarians in general, they always go through this ideological process. If it doesn't compute into their process then they toss it out no matter what. They don't think in terms of what will happen as a result of getting what they want, even it if will effect them. It's a waste of time to continually debate them. You'll probably never get them to see the light. It's much easier to give them an issue then let them expose their nutty ideas and laugh. It ain't going to happen because most people aren't that crazy (I am starting to wonder about the Republican party).

Ya see, except for a few minor details, 'Murky' and I can think alike.

You're good at parroting people, do you also have something to contribute?

I find your lack of originality disturbing but somewhat amusing. :goodjob:

So the answer is no?

Hey, your original post almost got it right, I just corrected a few minor factual oversights and behold, perfection! :mischief:

I would put my original statement to any qualified fact checker and have no doubt they would find it accurate.

Excellent. Let me know how that turns out. And if you would be so kind, let us know who or what that 'qualified' fact checker is. Thanks.

I have a better plan.

If congress goes over budget, the American people get to vote for a champion to personally deliver a swift round house kick to the face of every member of congress.
