This is the order of the Mock draft. I used a 10 side die to generate this, so its as fair as I can make it.

Ground rules. Any player who was in the majors for at least 10 AB or an IP last year AND is playing for an AL team this year is elgible. This is a snake draft so even rounds procede bottom up. That is tcjsavannah has picks 7 and 8, while cgannnon64 has picks 1, 14, 15 etc. Put your pick at the bottom of the draft thread. This thread will be for discussion. There will also be a team roster thread. Copy the roster from my post and fill in your team by editing your post as you make each pick.

1) cgannon64
2) AoA
3) Unregister
4) J's Hawks
5) Wildfire
6) Cantankerous
7) tcjsavannah

Draft will start 12:00 EST, 22 Feb 2003. If there is another person wanting to join, they may do so until tcjsavannah makes the 1st pick of the 2nd round. The new team, if any, will get the 8th spot.

I think AoA might do another league this year, so I will hold off on this in hopes that a Sandbox league is started.

If not, I'll be up for something.

Sure why not...

MI? Middle Infielder??

And my yahoo Hockey draft and Basketball drafts had the options to be live I believe...Where's AoA (and more people!)?

Why am i in as #7?

Sure, I'm in.

You can never be in too many leagues...

onejayhawk,

I love baseball, although oddly enough I've never been in a fantasy league. But I'd like to give it a whirl.

Count me in.

That leaves three positions. If we get them I will randomize the list and post a final order by this weekend.

Cantankerous dont worry to much about the fantasy side. Unless everyone wants to make it a league, that will be secondary. Just draft the best team you can. Good players will usually be good fantasy players.

To whomever has experience in fantasy, I am thinking 5x5. Hitting catagories will be OPS, RBI, Runs, HR, SB-CS. Pitching catagories will be Wins, Saves, K, ERA, WHIP (Walks plus Hits per Inning Pitched).

Pretty standard, although using only three average categories vs. seven cumulative categories means its weighted more towards the full-time players than the casual players who would miss stuff like injuries and people losing playing time to other players.

Sure, oh wait, i'm already in. ;)

OK, I'll join.

I suppose we will have to use Yahoo this year for the CFC league, I will set it up before long.

Sounds good. Now i can lose at Yahoo hockey and baseball. :)
