BAT mod crashing to desktop.

i know there is a specific forum for mods and cutsomization but it is pretty dead at the moment.

i just downloaded and installed the latest version of BAT and during the game when i click
"return to main menu" the game crashes to the desktop. this also happens when i attempt to get to the main menu using the "retire" prompt.

Any help?

This is a known issue that apparently is related to a music file. Lemon put out a patch for it and I assumed that was incorporated in the latest release. However, after I applied the patch, BAT work fine for some time and then I started to encounter the main menu crash again.

What does absolutely fix the issue is to turn the music off in the options. It will not crash, but you will not have music. Of course, you can keep the music on and then turn it off before exiting or keep it off until you roll the game you want to play. (that is when it issue really hits me the most is when I'm trying to roll a good game and have to exit to main menu often) It's actually prompted me to play external music on the computer, which can be pretty cool after you get sick of the civ music.

(yeah, for some reason not everyone encountered the issue. In fact, Lemon could not reproduce it herself. Someone else was testing it out and found the issue and then Lemon could identify the fix...or at least what we thought was a fix)

thanks for the help. For starters i uninstalled and re-installed Civ 4 Complete. I uninstalled the BAT mod as well. Thinking of just rolling with the BUG mod only.

don't know if this will fix your issue exactly, but i changed the save options for BAT and that fixed it for me (turned off all the extra options BAT gave me) and it only ever crashed when i tried to load a new game with the same leader from the main menu
