I think I might go ahead and skip both Battlefield 3 and MW3. I still got LA Noir and Skyrim to look forward to.

The game rest on one or two factor. If you play on a good team, then it is fun. If you play on a bad team, then it isn't going to be fun.

At least on COD, most games rest on who is the most dominant player during the game, and the rewards usually go to whoever is pwning the most players on the other team. I find that more challenging.

I'm a little confused by the almost instant respawn times. It makes the medic fairly useless.

Are you sure? Maybe you've just been dying shortly before the next wave respawns. I've had a few instances where I had to wait more than 5 seconds.

Spawning on squadmates is fairly fast, atleast double if not triple the rate from BC2. It kind of irks me being able to die and come back before my own grenade explodes! It isn't fair to other players, and makes revives almost completely pointless.

Revives are still great since they can revive someone from another squad (especially if they got wiped out) and his mates can spawn on him instead of at the spawn.

Of course that probably requires a bit of actual teamwork.

Teamwork? What is this!? Haven't seen any of that on the Beta yet. Then again Metro plays like a COD map.

after analyzing the data from our first round of closed caspian border tests, we have great news for participants in the battlefield 3 pc open beta: The dice team has decided to bring back caspian border for the beta’s final weekend and conduct an open large scale test of the 64 player caspian border map.

*****please keep in mind that as this is beta we will be stress testing our servers***** as such, users may experience crashes, network instability and outages as we roll out and configure servers and network utilities. Understand that such potential issues and the testing environment are not reflective or indicative of the final product and that, through your participation, you will be helping to ensure future stability and functionality.

As we are again specifically testing 64-player server configurations, this test will be for pc only. The caspian border servers will be available for all pc players to join. Caspian border will be available starting friday, october 7th, in the afternoon (cet).

Update: Some users may see "you were kicked by an administrator" when dropped from the game. This is not accurate (beta!) and relates to being dropped by the server. Thank you for your continued participation in our beta!

This is great news! Finally a map that really show what Battlefield actually is.

I am doing ok with the game so far except the fact my K/D ratio is just barely under 1 (at about .95)

I blame it on my stupidity of respawning way too much behind crappy players. And now getting better by placing the mobile spawn point in a better area for me to counter flank noobs hiding in bushes and rocks near our primary spawn location.

The Caspian Border (conquest) is very laggy in almost all of the North American servers right now. It lags about every 2 seconds...

The lag is fairly excruciating on the Xbox at times. With kills happening after people have gone behind walls. I know I've shot a guy and had him die up to five seconds later.

I did managed to play a few games. I don't know if I like the idea of players teleporting out of their vehicles. Kinda strange a lot of Battlefield 3 fanboys claim that their beloved franchise is more realistic than COD. I must have destroyed at least 7 tanks today, with only getting two players killed out of that.

From what I've seen and heard, vehicle damage is in stages, so they probably got out before you blew it up.
