Beginner But I Understand Basics, Several Dozen Errors Encountered

Hello,
Apologies for the strange thread name, figured I'd go with something eye-catching in hopes I can find someone to help me with this.

I'm a complete beginner at CIV 6 mod creation, and my errors pertain to my first ever mod attempt, but I've found the workflow quite fun and would like to continue with it if I ever figure out what the hell is wrong with my code.

First off, I've got a whole slew of Database.log errors that I THINK are coming from an improper action loader in my mod properties, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong. I'm using MC's template as a base, and the FrontEnd/In-Game split is almost identical. Also there are a bunch of Syntax errors but I genuinely don't know what it's picking up in that regard. How am I even supposed to find a syntax error near "("?

And on top of all of that, almost none of my Icons or Art Resources are loading, and, again, I can't for the life of me figure out why. My Leader's Neutral Portrait seems to load just fine, but none of the Atlases load on the civ select screen besides the Unique Unit I've made, labeled Kitsune. The Name definitions set in my Icons.xml seems to match my INSERT INTO PlayerItems from my Leader Config just fine, so I genuinely don't know what else could be problematic.

You seem to have a bogus in SQL (main one: ERROR: near "Core": syntax error), but try to get help from MC himself.

Of course, without seeing your project files it is hard to pinpoint - but what is true is that you have a significant number of fundamental syntax errors. A syntax error, in a file, will result in the remainder of that file not being processed. That typically results in lots of other errors because the game then attempts to read other files that are part of your mod and runs into references to things that it doesn't recognise.

The most important thing to do, first, is to deal with those syntax errors.

This is a fair question - especially when you don't know which file it is coming from. Thankfully, there's a second file in the Logs folder, called Modding.log, that reconciles errors to filenames.

[799014.891] - this number, which appears at the start of each Database.log line, is effectively a timestamp. If you take that timestamp and search for it in Modding.log, you should see a reference to a filename - sometimes it is either one line up or one line down.

Once you know which file has the syntax error, it is down to the modder to locate the syntax error. This often means scanning by eye. Common culprits are missed semi-colons, brackets and other punctuation that makes up the valid code.

For what it's worth, if you've worked within ModBuddy and haven't tried to raw-edit the .civ6proj file, it's unlikely that your FrontEnd and In-Game Actions are the culprits here. What is interesting is the fact that some of those errors reference the word 'Core'.

I know for a fact that, within my template, the word 'Core' (case-sensitive) only appears twice: once at the head of the Leader_Core.sql file and once at the head of the Leader_Config.sql file. In both cases, it is the first word that appears, but it is commented-out. If I was a betting man, I'd guess you have accidentally modified the commented-out section and the file is now reading that word 'Core' as code.
