Does anyone know if Dance of the aurora, Desert folklore and Sacred path are supposed to stop the holy site adjacency bonus from mountains or if it is a bug? I think before NFP it did not kill the bonus?

Nope. If it is a tundra/desert mountain tile the holy site only gets +1 adjacency bonus from mountains.

So it is meant to kill it then? A holy site with 6 tundra mountains gets 0 benefit from dance of the Aurora even though it is surrounded by tundra tiles... that's not explained anywhere I can find, and since forests do stack I don't get the logic.

I think it's because in the game's coding, woods are treated as a feature, whereas "Tundra", "Tundra Hills", and "Tundra (Mountain)" are all separate types of terrain (check the Holy Site's Civlopedia entry and look at its adjacencies). Holy Sites already get +1 faith from adjacent "Tundra (Mountain)" tiles, so all Dance of the Aurora does is give the same properties to "Tundra" and "Tundra Hills" as well. It's not taking away the mountain bonus, it's just not giving the tundra one.

That being said, I agree that it's very silly that it works that way, and could at the very least be better explained to the player.

My Holy Sites were getting mountain adjacency from all mountains in a recent game as Mali with Desert Folklore. I had no mods, and it was under NFP rules, just a few days before the Etiopia patch.

In addition to desert folklore bonus?

My holy sites got +2 bonuses from tundra forests with dance of aurora in my recent game.

^ that's because the woods adjacency bonus and the tundra bonus from dance of the aurora are counted separately, and are addititve to one another.

Tundra mountains and other tundra tiles aren't counted separately however, which is why the mountain adjacency and tundra adjacency don't stack.

I am pretty sure aurora/sacred path/desert folklore NEVER let you double-dip with mountains during any patch of the game

I might be remembering it wrongly then, but they should consider making the wording less confusing.
