yeah, well during some israeli war, the israeli airforce using american planes defeated the syrian (or whatever) airforce that was using russian planes, and during vietnam the killratio was something like 9-1 in favor of the americans (during the end) at lowest if im not mistaken it was 3-1 in favor of the americans........

and besides, russian weapons tech was inferior to the american weapons.....

And yes, soviet aircraft were designed for speed, agility and dogfight superiority, but they aren't as good at "fire and forgetting", they prefer more valiant ways to fight.
