WinAmp. Small, fast, specialized for playing music, not modifying it. Good enough for a background program, useful if you want to play music wjile working/browsing/gaming. Free.

Windows media player all the way people dont realize you can attatch it to the toolbar and set up shuffles.

WMP is perfect for my needs, does everything I want it to. I have also used Winamp before, and I do like it, although not quite as good (for me) as WMP.

I've never heard of foobar2000 before - how do you know about it? I have to say, the name is pretty rubbish, even if it is a wonderful program . I guess I'll google it now.
