I had to choose between Zelda and Mario. I've already forgotten what I voted for (I think Mario.) I used to play the original Zelda and the Original Mario on the ORIGINAL Nintendo.

Well, as far as handing out the award for second-best gaming series ever, I vote for SimCity. (Clearly, everyone knows that Civilization is the best gaming series ever

Zelda is easily the greatest, IMHO. That series is the primary reason why I say Nintendo is still the best game company around. FF is a solid second place, Civ is third or fourth, if anyone cares.
Maxis has SimCity (all of them are good), but that's about it. The Sims isn't a series (i.e., no sequels/follow ups, just expansions and cross-overs), but I personally was never interested anyway.

I have to disagree with the one who said warcraft 3 sucks, having copleted it and the expansion, its one of the best rts games ive ever played, the best part was the story, if you actually completed it, it ties the stories of all the previous games together.
The other series i love is the final fantasy series.
