I myself was very active this weekend and had not logged on at all. That is a bummer that you ordered it and it didn't have the information needed. Well just have to work off of what can be found and go from there. I thank you for your efforts Rocoteh, it can be frustrating not getting what you think you are getting when ordering things. I will hunt around on some other military forums that I know and see if anyone can help on the Soviets.

If the latest patch has been finalized then I will update this scenario also.

I have been trying to get the Conquests version of the scenario (version 4.1C) which I believe is the lasts you have posted to run. Being (I hope) a relatively intelligent person, I followed the directions contained in the first page of the posting to move about all the necessary files. When I try to load, it chuggs away at the Configuring scenario stage for a while (30-45min) and then drops out back to windows. I thought that I saw somewhere in this thread that it was either not compatible or not tested with the v1.15 Beta patch for conquests. Could this be my problem, or might I have missed something entirely obvious (likely).

I did misundersand you, I was really tired. Hopefully all goes well and we can get an accurate OOB for the Soviets in Sep 1939. I will start placing the Soviet navy for the next update.

You are on the money, this scenario has not been patched with the latest beta patch. I was waiting for the final version of the patch to be released before updating this scenario. The scenario is patched with the last patch before the beta patch came out. ( I think it is patch 1.27f, that this scenario is running and think it is posted on the first page.) For the Conquest and PTW versions of the scenario you DO NOT need to copy and paste files, all you need to do is put the scenario in the scenario folder and play a game. For the latest updates to this scenario you need to download the file WW2TheWorld.zip and the latest WW2TheWorld4.6.zip you DO NEED to do the copy and paste with these. Hope that helps you some.


Still nothing new about the final release of the latest patch, it was posted that at the end of Febuary it may be ready, but it looks like it is not ready yet.

Someday user created units may get added to the scenario, but as of now it is a long way away.

At the moment I am getting kinda bumbed out on Civ and am going to take a break from updating this scenario for a week or so.

That units looks nice, when the time comes I would like to add user made units/animations and art. Just not sure how it will be done, maybe just let the user add what units they want on thier own.

I just plan on taking a break for a little bit, I have done this before too, and its no big deal. Just need to clear my mind. This project has been in the works for a long time, more than a year, and for me I just need a break now and then. Feel free to post and I will update the scenario with anything new as soon as I'm back.

That would be the ideal thing to do, replace as many units as possible with user created ones. The only thing is that it will take alot of megs to get all those units and art in a file, so the download files for the scenario will be very large. I am not sure how much web space I have, so it may not fit, and would have to find some other space to upload the scenario so it can be downloaded.

There is alot on my list of thing to do at the moment, not just with this scenario, but in life. So things are going to slow down a little with the updates for this scenario (maybe one a week, maybe less), untill I get these other things taken care of, and then should have more time after that.

Yeah Rocoteh that is the way it is looking at the moment. There are a few of life's important things that require my full attention first. Well here is a hint cardboard is a nice material to make boxes and other things out of, but living in a house made of it would not be too fun. So the time I would normally have to spend on this project is going elsewhere so that I do not need to go down that other path. It should not take too long to find something though.
