On a more serious note,
and in the interest of total honesty,
I never use
CxxC spacing.

So when this is forced on me,
by neighbouring tribes building that close to my cities,
I get very claustrophobic,
not to say irritated.

There, I've got that off my chest.

I'm facing the complete opposite problem! I'm giving serious consideration to going further than I'm usually comfortable with in order to take up more of the vast empty spaces surrounding my territory. The French are beginning to crowd me on one side, but I plan on taking care of that after taking care of the slight (so far, that is) barb problem that's crept up.

CxxxC spacing normally for me, which frustrates me to no end with this "fantastic" empire i have taken control of since turn 78. And barbarians raging through 5 towns, pilliaging everything and killing at least 3 workers doesnt help either.

The barbs have finally gathered enough courage to start attacking my single spearman defended city. Despite brave resistance I'm expecting it to cave in next turn.

Myself, I'm still conducting my private war against the barbs. It's going better now.

The barbs are making worrying inroads against mountaintop perched vet spearmen and elite swords

Azza has some kind of real life busy-ness going on at the moment, and has started to be replaced in a couple of games.

I'm in several games with him where we are stuck for a couple of weeks now.
