Yes understandable, but it is now it is impossible to build up the economy to anything positive, unless you don't build any cost buildings. I wouldn't mind taking a negative if it wasn't turning into such a large number so quickly.

Zero, aye, I feel the Soviets are fine Militarily and even supply, oil, and personnel. That gold just seems so low, and it worries me It'll start disbanding units once I take over parts of Germany.

Soviet Union at that time was still recuperating from a costly civil war, I think it reflect well the history. Of course its still a beta version and need balancing! Some Russian cities produce so few hammer that the only thing viable is a bank and a wall then producing gold.
 
Talking about balancing, I wonder if the siegfried line is an advantage for German when you play them. It take a lots of supply you can use to build mobile units.

So i ran this set up while at work today, it did the predictable crash when i got home and touched the mouse, but i expected that, the game was actually still running and processing turns for a runtime from 0630 to 1800, thats just outstanding stability :goodjob:

Mainland France has fallen, the english still have all of england. The anglo/french army booted the italians out of africa again.

Italy and germany are ganging up on greece and about to take some greek cities. The balkans still stand!

Germany / Italy are pushing russia hard, laying siege to moscow. Finland still stands, lenningrad captured, norway under german occupation. a large push into the south of russia is developting.

Interesting note on materials...

Germany is out of fuel, however italy seems to be just fine at about 3500 fuel, go figure. I dont see on the map where the italians captured any fuel area's so perhaps they actually surpassed germany for some alliances in the balkans.
 
Maybe they dont have any fleet left so they actually started to accumulate oil. On a side note, is your PC have powersaving mode and go to sleep after a while? That may have unexpected reaction from CIV 5.

Not really, the Soviet was relatively profitable by the time the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was signed. Stalin's Five Years Plans all powered the economy to decent extent, and the Great Depression basically ignored the USSR, who didn't trade with most of the Western Nations en masse. Stalin also sold tons of food (more famines) to countries in exchange for high prices that were used to industrialize. As for those cities, yes that is what I do with them. Still losing so much Gold, again, I wouldn't be worried if it didn't say every turn "If it goes below -500 your units will be disbanded"

Hitler still hasn't even attacked Oslo, it is very odd. We are both stuck in Poland. The Italians are taking Egypt. However, is there any assistance to both sides planned for the African theatre? Such as the Germans heading there, or the Americans giving the British forces? It just seems right now that the Italians either mow them down quickly and own that area, or the British push back. It would be more entertaining for those teams to have access to backups. (Not that I'd know I've only ever played Greece and the USSR)

A last thing I want to note, the load time for the turns is incredibly fast compared to the former version. It definitely does not take as long as before.
 
I started a British game and the Soviet situation is not so bad. Brit have less ground units at start and only 6 supply before being oversized. Considering I need to build at least 5 Spitfires and some ground force just to defend Britain from the oncoming Seelowe I dont know what I will do to defend Afrika! Maybe uncle Sam will give a little help?
It's only 2% production penalty by unit above the limit, I would not hesitate to have +10 or +15 units once my economy is build. After that only projects can't be bought... (I may penalize gold income BTW)

Gedemon, what will the v 45 update include? Will it only include balance changes as it does now or there will also be some optimization? Or even new world map?

Specializing a few cities (for all nations) is intended, you can't build everything everywhere.

Taking cities will boost your income.

They get the same amount once war with USSR is started. Italy start with less mechanized units than Germany.

You means operations ?

Torch is planned, maybe the Afrika Korps, and maybe U.K. reinforcements from India.

I ordered my Heinkel He-111 to bombard Copenhagen and suddenly after Heinkel He-111 bombarded Copenhagen, Denmark fell. Then I bombarded Oslo 3 times but Norway didnt fall. Is that a bug or a feature? Was Denmark suppose to fall after first bombardment?

Hmm. So Denmark is falling after first attack(in your mod), but IRL king of Denmark ordered to stop resistance after a small battle near Copenhagen Citadel. So, IMHO, the Fall of Denmark event is supposed to start after a first land attack on Copenhagen.
 
I assume he just chose first attack since the AI is odd with embarking xD.

Well if they boost my income hopefully everything will be fine ^~^ (And I already don't build much, it was just a disparity between the last version and this version that kind of shocked me. I completely changed how I play the Soviets to adapt for now!) I hope to see those Operations implemented, I'd love to see Germany get more involved in the African Theatre rather than stick solely to Europe.

Also, I checked, if you capture Vilnius before Poland falls you do still get to keep it.

IA have to be programmed to do that. I could make an operation that on launch would result in the Fall of Denmark, but seems a lot of code for a small effect.

Beside I thought that the capitulation was the result of this:
When the German infantry arrived at Amalienborg they were met with determined opposition from the training company of the King's Royal Guard, which repulsed the initial attack, suffering three wounded.[31] This gave King Christian X and his ministers time to confer with the Danish Army chief General Prior. As the discussions were ongoing, several formations of Heinkel He 111 and Dornier Do 17 bombers from Kampfgeschwader 4 roared over the city dropping OPROP! leaflets. Faced with the explicit threat of Luftwaffe bombing the civilian population of Copenhagen, all but commander-in-chief General Prior favoured surrender. Even without this to consider, Denmark's military position was untenable.

I don't take wiki as facts, but I haven't read anything saying it's wrong either.

Anyway, even if it's wrong, the fact is that Germany didn't even lose a tank or a plane during the invasion of Denmark, so I think that there should be a way to make Denmark fall without land fighting.

Also, I checked, if you capture Vilnius before Poland falls you do still get to keep it.
Even after the Baltic states become USSR ally in the mod ?

This is something that may need looking at, but more like annexing all Baltic states at some point and still not liberating Vilnius if captured before "Fall of Poland".
 
I've got a crash when capturing Oslo. I've got it 2 times in a row. Operation Weserübung was launched, but I didnt capture Narvik.

It appear that Slovakia managed to capture Warsaw.

New bug to report boss.

on or about the start of the British calling in reinforcements, the British units in London (only British city left :king:) seem to ignore the only 1 unit attack from city rule. My encirclement units in one hex in particular are getting wave attacks out of the city of 8 infantry and a matilda II every turn. The hex they are currently hitting is the wheat hex just west of London.
