I agree with alexti2 here. Cossacks/Cavalry are only effective when you have a significant tech lead. Since that isnt likely to happen much at that point in the game on immortal (although it can and did to me once), you're better off aiming for grenadiers/cannons.

Actually, Cossacks do have a significantly longer shelf life than Cavalry, to the extent that'll I'll prioritize getting the former, but almost always pass on the latter. I think the only time I've used Cavs was with a high-hammer map where I built a bunch of knights that got in enough work to be good upgrade candidates. I usually just wait to war with drafted rifles tho.
