Biggest reason you don't spend more time playing civ

That may all change with PTW.

But same here - burnout and getting sick of Deity-level "accelerated production" AIs. No matter how I think it, I will never get to Deity level and to me improvement is always part of the fun.

So rather than play countless hours of Monarch-level games (Emperor level requires too much micro-management - what with the low happiness handicap!) that I'll win anyway - I'll just settle for the GOTMs and post here and there in CFC while also looking at all the other genres in the pc-gaming industry.

And maybe trying to catch GOTM-'cheaters' every now and then.

It may seem hard to believe that one can get burntout on civ but it is possible. What i do is play non stop for like a week straight then get tired just when i become dominate over all of the other civs, i get tired of the game, wait about 2 weeks or so then start a new game.

That happens to me sometimes. Particularly after a crushing defeat or far too easy win. I just get tired of it for a few days. Then I play again for like 8 hours a day for 2 weeks... Yeah! Whoo!
