Which strategy game caused you to spend the most time on it?

For me it definitely was Civilization 2, followed by Europa Universalis 2.
Both these games had following ones in the series which were better, but i did not play them as much, although i love Eu3 it simply destroys any prospect of work when i have it around...

Civ 3 has stolen collosal amounts of my time

I spend fifty minutes an hour on ROTK *Romance of the Three Kingdoms* XI.

Im currently playing Hegemony Gold rts strategywargame
Macedon campaign and it eats time too to conquer whole AncientGreece as Philip father of Alex
Im up to 40hours and got about one third

I spent tons of time playing Civ 3 Conquests

Civ III (always vanilla), Civ IV (later with BtS and several mods), EU III: DW, Minecraft Classic (in some ways, that can be called a strategy game), the Total War series.

TW games have eaten countless hours of my time.

Civ IV and EU3 no doubt have eaten up the most amount of my time.

The Total War series is catching up fast though.

Sure this is essentially a duplicate OP to a thread just a while ago. Anyway it's Starcraft (Broodwar) here.

Not proud of this:

The funny thing is I hate ETW and I think NTW is "acceptable." Can't imagine how much I'd have played them if I actually liked them.

AoEII definitely ate up a large amount of my time when I was a kid. I remember coming home from school every day when I was in the 5th or 6th grade and playing 4 hour 1 on 7 on Arabia games. That game was (still is, actually) so much fun.

toss up between Civ2 and Civ4. I'm not exactly sure, but I do think I played Civ4 more.

Civilization I and III, X-CoM (both first and second part), Genghis Khan II - Clan of Grey Wolf, AoE (First part), Sword of the Stars.
