Yes but unlike other games this one actuazlly has an in game thing that is acknowledged by the world as existing and they know it will revive(so long as you have taken at least some dose of ADAM). Theres just lots of silly stuff in this game that made no damn sence at all.

I was under the impression that the tubes in question only worked for people with specific DNA, so only certain people could use it (trying not to give too much away)

well, the tubes and the bathyspheres were programmed to only work for certain peoples DNA, but you can listen to a recording and find out that as long as you were in the genetic ballpark of the person who they programmed it for you could use it. Meaning brothers sisters mother and fathers could use things programmed to your DNA. Fontaine and Ryan both knew who you really were, so they both knew you were in there genetic ballparks so they both had to have known that the Vita chambers would have worked, so the hole remains. Better yet, why the hell did Fontaine even bother fioghting you at the end, its not like hes going to kill you or something, or better yet, why did he ever run from you in the first place, her would have just been revived like you in the vita chambers.
O another thing, albeit I didnt think of this, a friend of mine did. How can a steam powered turret choose who to shoot and who ot to shoot?Does hot water not burn certain people or something?
