IN MY COMP MWHAHAHAH
i was trying to make a space scen so i go in and start screwing around with the terrian trying to turn it into all pitch black then ad a few stars well as i finish a few tiles i go back to the map and low and behold theres this little ummm i guess you call it a hump of coloring inbetween my tiles so what do i do .... i go back and by now im pissed cuase i spent 10 minutes a terrian squinting and trying to keep in the lines and all and i checked to see if i didnt get some of the little boxs colored black i check again its still there and know im really pissed so i filli in the hole freaking icon box witrh black and then it turns up looking like a stinking ocean square grrrr whatys up with this??????

This is the dithering pattern used to reduce the contrast between tiles of different terrain. Check to bottom left of the terrain1 file for the dither square and make it blank.

p.s. I suggest you examine some of the exisiting space scenarios - like mine - to get a basic idea of how things work or else you will encounter a new problem very often. No point reinventing the wheel.

Thxs man your a beacon of light to all us newbies ive looked at your space scens looks like you used the moojr map am i correct? well thxs again

ok well i got the dither taken care of but now i cant get the blasted oceans to change to the way i want them other then that its coming along great

hehe thxs again tho i found out after i posted that but thx any ways

I glad I read this info I have a space scenario I have been working on and I alway ran into the problem.when i make space(ocean) and a planet in a terrain file there always a different shade around the planet and space mixing.I found If i used a Hill or mountian tile it didnt have the mixing effect.I also found I could use the jungle terrian file edited with a third plantet but I was stuck between 3 plantes to go by.I am making a starwars scenario on a map size of 130x230 its Huge.:D
