Blender to Civ4 help needed...

What I really need is an Idiot's guide to exporting a simple model to Civ4. I've converted a blender file to a nif using Niftools, but beyond that I'm totally lost. I can't figure out the .dds file conversion at all. I tried to follow Neomega's thread but he lost me along the way.

Any help would be appreciated no matter how trivial or simple it may seem to someone else.

If you let me some time i'll maybe write a small tutorial(maybe this weekend) (but my english is not really good )
