I hate it. Ugh, I have so much hate against this music. The worst part about it is the "DEN DUH DUH & he starts singing." & The drums & the "NOVUUUUUUUUUU".
Someone save me from this track!
Is there some way I can change this theme for it to play the Vanilla or G&K's Theme, instead?
& YES I DO NOT MEAN turning off the BNW DLC.
Please help MEH D:
-Thanks

Yeah, I agree, the BNW's soundtrack is... I'm not gonna say completely horrible, but I usually turn off my speakers when I lanuch the game.
You can always go into C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\assets\Sounds\Streamed\Music and change the music into something suitable. (make sure it's a wav file, and there IS a file there, or the game might go ape<snip> and crash), or you could just mute the music altogether using the game's settings.
Hope that helps.

It is super annoying. Game themes should not have any vocals. I don't know how to turn off just the theme. I just mute the sound until I'm actually playing. I have a similar beef with the narrations. (I miss Nimoy).

At first I liked it, but then yeah it got unbearable.

I changed the entire European soundtrack. Is there any way to have all Civs use the European War/Peace tracks? I'm way too lazy to change all the 4 soundtrack groups (Asia, Middle East, America) file names, and my soundtrack I find perfect (and when something I will find boring, I'll replace it again).

Thanks everyone!
& PreLynMax, I'm looking at this folder is it:
OpeningMenu_Proto_1 ?
How do I replace this for it to be the Vanilla version intro? Do you know where I can find it?
-Thank you very much everybody! :D

Do this:

1) Mute the game audio
2) Quit CIV V
3) Go to Spotify
4) Play "STRAUSS- ALSO SPRACH ZARATHUSTRA"
5) Launch game

Result: Game is immediately epic-ified.

@TheCaballerion
What?
& Yes, I clicked on it and it's the track from the Vanilla version? Are you sure it's that file?

Simple just press "esc" and you don't have to listen to it. and mid game just play your own music

that is the vanilla soundtrack, bnw intro is in the dlc folder

I was already used to muting with G&K's music, which was equally tiring. I miss Vanilla's intro music and G&K's intro still-set

Hmm. I quite like BNW's theme. I even looked up the lyrics.

Though I guess anything gets irritating if you hear it often enough.

That's funny. When I play BNW that song usually makes it difficult for me to start a game. Or to exit Civ5 when I'm done.

The only reason I have any dislike for the intro music is because I associate it with the ridiculously long loading time when I first start up the game. What's up with that, anyway?

Other than that, I like it, and I like to sing along with it, which is mostly just me making weird noises because I don't know any of the lyrics.

Thank you everybody! VERY MUCH =)
It now sounds like the Civilization V vanilla track, bringing back memories :"D
Advice: The best intro is thee Vanilla.
