Turn 0 310 A.D. Checking things over. We have no FP yet? We are totally at peace, with everyone. Two turns left on an ivory deal with Cleo. On TriviAls recommendation, I change research to Chemistry, as it is the one least likely that the AI will research soon. The AI is only up Music Theory right now, so were ok. We have several Saltpeter in our territory, but none hooked up. The Egyptians have no SP and no Iron their time has come. We also need some more workers methinks.
BT India completes Bach! Ive never seen such a strong India! Celts get Copernicus in the cascade!
Turn 1 320 A.D. There is a Settler in Antalya, I assume to fill in conquered Egyptian lands? Iroquois grab a monopoly on Chemistry.
Turn 2 340 A.D. Just waiting until the right time to attack.
BT The Iros declare war on the Indians. That should slow those two major powers up some. Im saving some cahs to rush units where we need them during our war. SP hooked up. Upgrade some pikes.
Turn 3 350 A.D. As I said, upgrade some pikes. Almost ready to attack.
Turn 4 360 A.D. Declare war against the Egyptians. Give the Romans Ivory to sign them up. Buy Chemistry for Ivory, Horses, and Gems, from the Iros. Resell it to the Romans for Banking and 75 gold. Basically two free techs, as we had excess horses, ivory and gems. Tech Parity.
BT The Egyptians attack the Romans, not us. The Romans will be a big help, as they have tons of MIs up there left over from some other war.
Turn 5 370 A.D. 3 civs pull in Navigation. Quite a tech pace weve got here! I spend the first turn picking off all the Egyptian longbows I kill 8 bows and 2 spears, without losing a single unit. Hopefully the Egyptians dont have too many bows left to counterattack.
BT they have a few, and we lose a few knights in the counterattack. Romans enter Egyptian territory with a large stack. The Roman city of Lisht flips to us!!
Turn 6 380 A.D. - Elphantine falls! I decide to raze it and use the settler we have waiting to replace it, so I dont get bogged down fighting resistance this early. I have to rush a musket in the East to prevent the fall of Mugla from a sneaky attack. I am able to pick off the remaining longbows that I can see, but Im still open for a counterattack.
BT Man the Egyptians still have lots of longbows! Losing a lot of knights to counterattacks.
Turn 7 390 A.D. I have to pull back and regroup. Ive lost over half our Knights to Egyptian counterattack. They sure have a lot! Im going to pull back and let the Romans other them a bit.
BT This is bad my fortified musket behind walls in Muglia dies. Fortunately the other hold on.
Turn 8 400 A.D. I have to pull back the Settler too. Sorry about this guys I had no idea the Egyptians would be so tough. No major losses yet, other than units, though. Iros are now up Navigation AND Physics! Holy tech pace, batman!
BT War Weariness hits 20% Thats ALL I need! Riots everywhere.
Turn 9 410 A.D. Luxes to 20% fixes most rioting problems. The Romans capture Alexandria! That should distract the Egyptians. We just need to make sure we get Thebes, not them! We have only seven Knights. Geez.
Turn 10 420 A.D. I think its safe to move the settler out again.
NOTES TO NEXT PLAYER
There is a 2 for 1 available between Physics and Navigation, and possibly Democracy (The Indians have it). If you want to do this its still available this turn. There is a mini-SoD assembled with our remaining Knights you may be able to take Memphis with it. Good Luck!
