Bonus vs Domain?

What is the Bonus Vs Domain that makes my range units like artillery so weak?

It's a penalty (50% I believe) vs at least land units to make unpromoted artillery not the only thing you need to build for an army. As long as you have a great general and a promotion or two you'll be back in business doing good damage against land units (because the promotions are additive so you have 100% - 50% + 20% + 20% = 90% of normal strength with one promotion).

Archers/crossbows are the primary unit to weaken other units, while siege units are built to attack cities. This is why archers have a vs-city penalty, and siege a vs-unit penalty. If you build a mix of archers and siege you can handle any ranged battle. There's more details about this in the combat roles thread.

The G&K expansion will have late game ranged units.

Okay, that makes sense. Thanks. But in real life, artillery is the most important defense and offense.
