BOTM 25 Pregame Discussion

Hmm, I haven't started playing yet, and now I understand why the rule in the OP is so strict. Even a moderator action pulling game info is enough to suspect something afoot reasonably early in the game...of course we have to be careful not to jump at shadows.

Watch, there's a suped up minor nation that starts with maces nearby X_X.

Hi mods,

Just a technical question (no spoilers here)... I'm playing this BOTM on my laptop after transferring my save file to it. My save file was in <year>.

But my laptop has been crazy slow and, after an autosave at <year>, my computer went to sleep at around <year> or so, and I couldn't turn on again. (My laptop is kind of crappy.) This is my first BOTM and I want to able to submit it! :( What should I do?

Edit: Took out the game dates. Sorry mods! :D

Welcome to CivFanatics and Game of the Month. :wavey:

Whenever you run into a problem such as this, you should send a Private Message (PM) to the mod hosting the game (DynamicSpirit in this case).

Hopefully, you have your autosave interval (in the civilization4.ini file) set to 1 so that the game makes an autosave after every turn. You should go back to your last autosave and continue to play the game, making your moves as closely as possible to what you did before the crash. You should also PM the mod including: what happened, what turn you were on, and what turn you reloaded on. In reviewing results after the game closes, we can use this info to assist in our review. You should submit your game.

Good luck with your game.

btw - it is spoilerish to state what date you have played to in this thread. You should not post in a pre-game thread once you have opened your save.

It seems we all missed a notable event a couple of weeks ago. When BOTM 25 was launched a couple of weeks ago, it was the 100th single player xOTM we've done!

To celebrate we're going to do - ummm - nothing at all!

Happy New Year everyone!
