BOTM 28 First Spoiler - 500 AD

Settled in place, second city three tiles to the right to share corn and grab the gems. REX'd like crazy mainly using those 2 cities as worker/settler spammers. Currently have 11 cities (1 on SW island). Didn't realize the extra trade route value from an island city or would have had it up sooner. :/

Got Confuciasm, then beelined to Optics. Caravels are just making contact now, I seem to be in a strong position...

Where did you settle and why?
Sent the Scout 1SW & 1NW; seeing no additional seafood on the coast, I settled 1 SE in order to get Gems and Riverside tiles in Capitol. Initial builds were Warrior, Worker, Warrior, Settler.

How did you get along with your, um, neighbors?
Just fine. I haven't had to shout "Hey kid, get off my lawn!" even once. :mischief:

Has there been any contact yet?
First Contact Protocols have not been initiated as of 500 AD.

Insufficient REX on my part, only 6 cities at 500 AD, with a Settler for the 7th almost complete. Only one GP so far, a Great Scientist born in the Capitol right at 500 AD. I'll use him to build an Academy in the Capitol.

I was originally planning to go for Cultural Victory, but I've missed out on almost every religion so far. I've also missed out on The Oracle, The Great Lighthouse and The Colossus.

New Plan: keep expanding and aim for a UN Victory, with Space Colony as the backup plan.
