Some people still cannot realize that tigers are totally not like wolves. What I mean is that if you take a wolf puppy and it grows up with you, it becomes almost as domesticated as our dogs. Not so with tigers and other wild cats. It was an amazing experience for me to see a real tiger cub five feet in front of me a few months ago. When you observe its actions you realize that they are not so soft and cute on the inside as many would think. They behave just like grown tigers, serious and wild.

Do you watch his show? He get's bitten all the time. I'm just waiting for a croc to eat him. But they probably woudn't show that. . .
At least the handler had a say in the mattter. I find it more of a shame the tiger found the only way to assert itself was to attack a handler. I guess the tiger isn't that important to most people (not aimed at you Superevie, just 90% of the world).Originally posted by Superevie
It's just a shame that Siegfried and Roy have to find this out the hard way.![]()

Exactly, Superevie!
The tiger feeders at Howlett's (sp?) zoo in Kent are occasionally eaten, either in whole or in part. Getting that close to them is not a thing I would ever contemplate.

If a gay tiger broke into my house, knocked me out with a tranquiliser dart, hauled me out to the jungle and kept me in a cage for years trying to teach me tricks to amuse other tigers, hell, Id probably get fed up and try to bite the bastard too. No pity for Roy.
