Moderator Action: Be advised - this is a legitimate free download, not pirated software.
It is not pirated. He should have checked the actual file which links to the distributors own site. The party that posted it on download.com was Daz3d themselves. Their is considerable discussion about this on the daz3d forums. download.com is not some small time pirate web site, but part of a very large media company etc, etc...polyphemus said:wait, someone said it was prated software.
polyphemus said:wait, i dont understand, plotinus said it was prated software, but turner says its not...
Start the application.polyphemus said:Maybe plotinus was just amazed that daz3d would actually offer bryce for free. Anyways...lets get back on topic...how do i aquire a serial #?
either start the install on another PC and get the serial number, or write down the website address from your laptop (during that install) then go to that site via your mail machine and get the serial number that way.polyphemus said:oh, so i have to have internet enabled then, im loading on my labtop, it doesnt have internet, oh my!
polyphemus said:ok, i got the program on my internet pc, but it took my to this website:
it said the page could not be displayed.
oh, and my laptob is pretty strong, it can handle poser and openfx without a problem, so i think bryce will be fine
Bjornlo said:your serial number is in a PM.

I sent it as "pm via e-mail" instead. I figured you might get it sooner.polyphemus said:um, i just checked, and i dont have any PMs.![]()

aaglo said:Does anyone have an answer to this:
Can I import stuff from bryce to pov-ray (Currently I'm under the impression, that the answer is something like "very possibly no")?
I know someone else who dl'ed it and installed it with no problems. If you continue to have problems, maybe ask on the daz3d forums?polyphemus said:i got it, but for some reason it does not work, i copied the whole thing and pasted it in teh box. Ive tried something esle too, ive downloaded and installed the program from daz3d themselves, i think i can bypass the serial code that way, ill see asfter i reboot my comp, then ill post teh results.
@aaglo: im not sure you can, bryce deels with visual graphics while POV-Ray deals with code, both 2 completely different types, unless of course POV-Ray can extract code from graphics![]()
