bts 3.19

Bts 3.19 won't install:
I have now the civ 4 complete pack (with vanilla, warlords and bts), with a no-cd exefile for each of them. My BTS is version 3.17.
I downloaded the 3.19 patch but it won't install (it says i haven't installed civ4 bts). I'm thinking it couls either be because i have a no-cd crack (can someone please send me, or give me a link of the original .exe file, its about 12 mb i think), or just because I have a downloaded a bad patch (can someone send me a link were i can download the good patch)

I deleted the original .exe file, do you know where i can find the original file

It seemed ridiculus to reinstall the game for just one little file, so I looked on the internet for the original. Only no-dvd exe files were found, so after about 30min i dicided to reinstalled civ 4, then I downloaded 3.17, installed it, then tried to install 3.19. And it worked.
Lol a lot of work for just one little file.

I had a similar problem tonight, starting with the 'Civ IV Complete' BTS 3.13 version. The 3.19 patch would not work (well, it would run for a bit, then hang) until I applied the 3.17 patch first. I didn't need to delete or reinstall everything.

Is this true in all cases?

If you need 3.17 before 3.19, it would be nice to have advertisement of this fact Neither Civfanatics or the Firaxis website mention the need for 3.17. Its presented as a ground-up patch.

Gripe #2 is the fact the patch is obviously bloated with miscellaneous fixes for the BTS in-built mods and scenarios that I will probably never play again! Not everyone has unlimited Gb's per month

Lemon's Civ/Vista Guide suggests 3.17 before 3.19. That install guide seems pretty good for other OS too.
