[BtS] Civ of the Week: The Chola Empire

Nice civ. But it has one little flaw. kallerini has a transparent sash! No doubt this was intended to be team-colour but it hasn't worked.

Thanks for the compliment!

Anyhow, as for the unit acting funny, I have realized that too. On my computer at least, the head actually detaches itself from the body when the unit is in combat for some reason. Still, the unit isn't mine, actually, so I am not quite sure how to fix the matter, given that my modeling capabilities are nil.

However, I probably may update this at another time, using a better model.

Thanks!

...

I wasn't meaning a Tamil Tigers civ. I meant a Tamil civ. Tamils have an influence far extending beyond terrorism and violence

^ True.

Anyhow, I am not a fan of having any leaders who died after 1970 (i.e. presently living or might as well be).

I was just extending the time frame, that's all.

Besides, it's fun to have evil leaders. Just my 2 cents.

^ Though yes, I personally don't have a problem with evil leaders in the game so long as they have historical importance/influence/whatever (except for Mao), the guy is just way too modern for me. In fact, i don't like having leaders born after c. 1900. It doesn't give me that "epic history" kind of feeling having people my parents or grandparents could've known as leaders.

Some were important. For example, I would not mind having, say, Kubitschek or Peron or FDR or other important 20th century leaders. However, I will not stoop to have a glorious, important, distinct civilization lead by a non-important terrorist leader. Would you have Bin Laden of the Arabs or William Joseph Simmons of the Americans? No!

Hey, nice work on this civ. Everything works fine for me except for some reason Rajendra's leader head shows up as Justinian's from the game. Did I do something wrong? The XMLs should be fine.

^ I can think off the top of my head two reasons why that would happen.

1. You somehow deleted or removed certain files from the mod.

2. Or, two, more likely, your game is running on extremely low graphics settings.

Ah yes, I am definitely running the game with low settings. I'm surprised it runs at all honestly. Thanks for the reply :)

You may also want to see if your computer itself is not so... powerful, or if its old. That may also cause the game to automatically use lower graphics.

There are two files referenced for LHs - the main .nif file and the nonshader.nif file.

If you run at low graphics, the game uses the latter file. While this file *can* be modded, seldom it is left untouched, meaning that your computer is using the original LH work (or the low-res version of it) rather than the main .nif file that was moded.
