[BtS] CivFusion

I was busy lurking through the pages here, and got to wondering: Will this mod be multiplayer compatible?

Some of the other modders have reported that Civ Revolution and Dale's Combat Mod are not compatible with multiplayer.

If its possible, and assuming Revolution and DCM are included, will there be buttons to turn off non-multiplayer components so it can work both ways?

Well, it looks like a good mod. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Hi everyone,

Some RL issues reared their ugly head, and delayed things on the mod a little bit. I am aiming to have the final version out to my testers by the end of the weekend. I've been working to really polish everything for the final release. There are lots of little details that I've been working on that will add up to a nice finished product. Assuming the testers don't find any showstopping bugs, I should be able to release the final to everyone within 7-10 days of the testers getting it.

@Rone: All components of Revolution and DCM can be turned on or off.

Cheers,
ripple01

Can I be a tester?

Hey ripple, hate to keep bothering ya but do we have an updated ETA?

Any chance you could release this mod in pieces? I'm really interested in the WTC art work and the new diplo music.
My computer's not all that pimped up so I dare not download the entire mod - not to mention there's no file to download right now!

It would be released this weekend, but I'll be out of town. Small chance I could get it posted before then, but most likely mid next week.

Cheers,

Can't wait. I'm really looking forward to this. :)

Glad to hear it; I think you and everyone else will be pleased. If possible, I'll begin to update the first few posts with all of the 0.70 information before I leave on Friday.

vista 32-bit or 64-bit?

Congratulations on your work with this mod, Ripple. You put a lot of work into it, and I think it is of very high quality. Well done!

The man with the plan! :goodjob:

Thanks for your work on this Ripple - the amount of effort you've put in is just staggering... Well Done, That Man!

It is a hearty download, and guys, he's not kidding when he says middle-high end is preferable... the new graphics this thing uses are thirstay. So if you have a "lighter" rig, remember the ol' occasional Alt-Tab in and Alt-Tab out trick to refresh your graphics memory. It'll minimise the risk of any CTD's....

But it's a great mod, and the eye candy is oh-so-pretty... Definitely worth the DL - nowadays it's the only mod I play :)

First of all: Thanks for this great modpack! I love it, especially the new traits, even though I only played a few short test-games (don't want to get too addicted at the moment).

Now to the questions:
1) Do you consider replacing some of the current LHs with those from Civ4Col?

2) Do you have any preferences by choosing new mods (e. g. more gameplay-changers) or is this "just" a Best-of? Btw, I'm curious if you plan on adding the Assimilation mod.

3) I found a Itzcoatl in DIPLOMACY (screenshots attached). Does this help you?

Thanks for the kind words from both of you. I owe you both a huge debt of gratitude for your help and I think it is a testament to your fine work that we've had over 100 downloads so far and no posts with anyone experiencing any issues.

1) I have used a couple of Civ4Col LH's already (Washington, Hiawatha). I am open for suggestions for other Civ4Col LH's to use.

2) I try to choose mods to add that offer a new dynamic on existing gameplay while keeping some semblance of balance. I wasn't planning on adding the Assmilation mod, but hadn't really looked at it closely. A couple of the new wonders, Petra and Flavian Amphitheatre, provide some of the effects of Assimilation however. I like the idea of civ's using other civs UB's/UU's but I don't think it should be available to everyone all the time. I like the idea of it being a special bonus.

3) That LH was originally used for one of the Toltec leaders in CivGold. It is not a bad choice as Itzcoatl. Ekmek is working on a female Aztec LH and I am waiting to see how that turns out before figuring out how to move ahead with the 2nd Aztec leader.

definitely a fun mod, unfortunately i get the memory error. Making this unplayable. Its a shame as even on tiny settings i got a memory error. Well good luck with the mod, and i love the petra wonder and the unit wonder great ideas.
