Are you getting some error?

Everyone above you is right, the 3.19 patch removes the CD check. Are you sure you have patched?

There isn't even manual steps you need to do like the diablo II and starcraft no cd patches (have to copy some files from CD to game folder). The Civ IV one just works.

You're very much mistaken. If you still require the disk, then you didn't install the patch correctly.
