That is because you patched. I got the same thing on the machine I patched and then tried to load. Now what? That is the question. Patch and start new games?

I patched that long ago. I generally use the download/install and sometimes the in game method. I'll recheck in case I mis-remember when I get home.

I will try to replay the turn that I had when I upgraded. Maybe if I send it 'post upgrade' it will work? Of course I have to be able to open it first. Will try this evening.

Maybe try a Middle Ages start? Something different. We all start with more people that way and at a higher tech level. It's still a level playing field. Any other ideas? I do think if we are upgraded we are done FRESH START.
I do know that we were able to continue playing Charlemagne with the V3.17 upgrade, don't know why?

Since we are all patched up now I re-sent the last turn to mabeco hoping that maybe we can work with that.

Why what worked? I just resent the last turn I had to mabeco hoping maybe since we are all patched up it would work. Didn't think it would hurt to try.

I thought you played it after patching and was wondering what to do different so I could play with the patch in my other games.

Guys, 3.17 has different rules than 3.13, how can it work?
I'm sending the new turn that I received after playing.

You have to send it to a computer which has 3.13, resave it without
the admin password, send it back, load it in 3.17, and resave with the
admin password again.
