How exactly "alters"?The only problem is that it's a total pain to merge into most mods, since most mods are using the BUG mod, which drastically alters the python.
I suppose I should, but those alterations doesn't make it harder to use Python, right? But it would make merging of code a pain, as you mentioned...
Anyone worth their lick in programming should be able to merge in any mod into BUG...![]()
Touché!Harder to merge normal BTS python modcomps. Fortunately, I'm usually making the mod comps, not merging them these days.![]()
I haven't even looked at it, and I pretty much know that I could do it. But thats just because I do know a lick of Python, so I'd be able to figure it out just by looking at the code. It just logic, after all.So, like all 5 of us?![]()

Its almost like non-programmers think that programming skill is something you're born with. Or that you need to be some kind of genius to even get into it.
I originally learned some programming in childhood and only picked it up again earlier this year. I knew zero Python and almost nothing about CivIV modding. And I'm as crappy at math today than I was back in elementary school, but even that isn't stopping me. (If I was some kind of math genius I would probably have become a professional programmer to start with. But you hardly need any "professional" skill to mod CivIV!)
It is my new mod comp for BtS... Its fun converting mod comps from Vanilla and Warlords to BtS but its much more entertaining to create new content.BTW, what is "Random Cottage Placement"...?![]()
