Well I tried two mods with the Cuirassier version and the special Polish units aren't appearing...

Okay, if you re-name the Poland_Civ4CivilizationInfos.xml in Assets/Modules/Custom Civilizations/Poland/ to Poland_Civ4CivilizationInfosNoFlavor.xml that should solve the problem.

you could also make a mod version for clean bts. i've learn how to create clean mod in 2 minutes for this civilization

I have a couple of the leaders from the pedia. Will that do, or should I take some in-game, too?

I mean I was unable to launch this civilization without any mod, I tried to put those files in Beyond The Sword/Assets but it didn't work. So I make my own clean mod and put those civilization in it. Now works well

I have integrated a version of Poland into my mod http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=240115

It essentially is the Knight Version of Poland with two additional new unit graphics.
