[BTS] Regiments & Ethnic Diversity

downloaded your mod and it seems your mod love to crash everytime I start it up. I think it's time that this mod updated since it has not been updated since 2 months ago.
 
Same here. It starts loading and then crashes in InitAudio. Any ideas? I'm eager to play this mod.
 
its not too bad a mod. you gotta zoom in to really the notice the differences in units. the combat is a clusterf*ck of units flying at each other. especially pretty cool when you see a bunch of arrows and javelins flying from all directions. or maybe its just my slow ass computer, not able to keep up so it speeds up the combat to catch up.
 
Latest activity of Gedemon was on October 8th, so I would not rely on any updates in the near future.
 
How complex of a task would it be to make the old version compatible? Is it just a matter of changing some references in the xml, or does one have to meddle with the DLL?

While on the topic, what exactly is it that makes mods incompatible with 3.13?

I was wondering the same thing. Is it compatible with v3.13? Also, are the SDK changes essential to the mod, or are they just solver's patch and more civs allowed?

In fact in order to launch this mod with 3.13 you have to delete the mod CvGameCoreDL.dll. But even if you do this some little bugs will remain like icons issues...

IF i were you I will rather try the variets delectat mod and had by yourself the regiment stuff.
 
I've tried Varietas Delectat and what I actually wanted to do was to add the air forces, regiments and bonus unit changes to a personal mod that already has Varietas. What I was wondering was do I just need those modules, or is there some SDK change required?

You just need the module but they may act weird (but no major bugs I think),
In fact regiments is very simple to add, but air forces will be a bit harder because varietas already has it own planes models ....
 
In updating to 3.13, the main problems you will encounter are with mods that have SDK changes (ie a custom CvGameCoreDLL file). When I updated mine a while ago, all of the mods with just XML changes were uneffected. If you just want the modules in this mod, nothing will be affected. As far as I know, the only thing that won't work in this mod is the DLL which allows for 36 civs. If you do want to allow more civs, I would suggest the [BtS]40 civs-allows colonies AND 34 civs by Lt. Bob.

So, are You saying that i can upgrade and just change the dll? Isn't it? A 2nd question, I've seen that there are mods that allow more than 40 civs, R.E.D. could work with their dll?
