I NEED HELP . i GET THE MESSAGE
"LOAD ERROR:GFC ERROR FAILED TO INTIALIZE THE PRIMARY CONTROL THEME"
ANY IDEAS ?

Got this same message trying to load the latest version of Babylon 5 mod plus it CTDed 2 other mod loading trials. I'm running a virus check now.

If anybody have errors with theme and you, GEOKOS

Try this:
1. Delete folder "Resource" in "Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\PSYX's Modern world 4"
2. Run the game and load mod


Any theme packs, are patches too ))

If it dont work. delete folder "Cursors" in "\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\PSYX's Modern world 4\Assets\res"

And if dont work, try to reinstall game and delete any dont original files, and try to run mod, must be work!

Removed the Resource folder, but I still get this message when trying to load some other mods (including my working version of MOO2Civ (Patch4), to which I need to add some stuff before uploading). Only thing I can think of now is a complete reinstall of BtS... Any other suggestion?

I appreciate it, but I've already done a complete reinstall of BtS and everything seems to work fine. (Just wondering though: what does it do?)

P.S.: I was test the archive files, there are no errors, I dont understand, what error you have?

1. Copy file "EDUMedit_CIV4UnitArtStyleTypeInfos" to "Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\PSYX's Modern world 4\Assets\Modules\EDU\Mediterranean"
2. At question to "Change", answer "Yes"

Subfolder "Mediterranean" wasn't there, so I created it. Am I still missing something?

I have the same error when I load the mod:
"LOAD ERROR:GFC ERROR FAILED TO INTIALIZE THE PRIMARY CONTROL THEME"

The version of BTS is 3.13.
I reinstalled the game completely: no difference.
I tried all the tips: same error.

Am I cursed ???

May be, you dont correctly have the name of the mod. It must be "Beyond the Sword\Mods\PSYX's Modern world 4". May be you have that, becouse you was copy the archived folder (name of the folder=name of the archive), but not the folder of the mod.

As I think you have archiver, that dont work correctly, I was tested archive. All must be nice. Try to another programe, like 7-zip

Not following... I use 7-zip for everything I up/download. But I haven't checked yet, as I was busy with 1862 AD for CIV Gold BTS, MOO2Civ (Patch4) FULL INSTALL and 1066 AD for BTS version 3.1. (Have some time now, will check!)

Mod loads fine, but I still can't load a map: after civ selection OK, I get a CTD - sorry (I even tried a Terra and Shuffle map).

Good News, the mod is loading fine !!


But I must delete 2 files that was created when the name of the folder was wrong.
=>1 file .ini and 1 file .bak

You can only create (generate map). The maps of the folder "public maps" of the BTS are dont working. I think to add the World map, becouse in this mod only Europe maps.

I recomaend dont delete this file, but it must genereted by game, if it deleted. I think

Start to doing a new verion of the mod.

I added new scenario for 52 civs on world map (start pos)

And think, what scenarious adopts for a mod.
