Shouldn't it be Bob who's suspecting Joe is a racist? (btw, Joe is Jewish )

That's the joke! And no, but that is a good try. I took it from my account name, (bobbyjoe)

Expect another update tonight!

This is, by far, the most boring uneventfull story i've ever read.

+100% :science: , can turn 2 citizens into scientist, + 4 :culture:
Copernicus' Observatory, plus Isaac Newton's College, plus Oxford University, ( all giving 100% :science: ) would turn Cuzco into a science juggernaut, which it already is, as you can see in this screenshot. Notice the production, science, culture, and the year (1,180)

Oh, that's probably why. I guess I just assumed that it didn't take him that long, or that he copied it in from Word or a similar program.

Just wait until we get oxford in ;)

Spoiler :
picture1heb.png

In 1545, the Taj Mahal was constructed in Cuzco, because Carpa's wife was evidently getting bored with her Hanging Gardens, and demanded something new. While it was most likely unrelated, historians mark the same year as the Taj Mahal was created when the second Ican Golden Age begun. This era was know as the Taj Mahalic Era, where common concepts were challenged, new ideas were brought forth, great works of art were made, and the economy reached an unmet level.

Spoiler :
picture3aey.png

The Ican people have never witnessed such a period of greatness before. In 1550, oxford university was completed, and Cuzco was whipping out 707 :science: per turn :wow: Keep in mind, this is still a golden age, but that is one heck of a lot of science!
Spoiler :
picture2yl.png

A great engineer was born, also.

Spoiler :
picture2xd.png

The modern concept of democracy traces its roots back to the Taj Mahalic Age, when in 1565 a man named Democ tried to organize a large-scale rebellion against the Incan Government in favor of a system where the common man has the right to vote on issues. Of course, Democ was quickly put to death for insulting the motherland, and his ideas weren't accepted until centuries later, but his legacy still lives on and high school kids are still forced to study and wright about his contributions today!

Spoiler :
picture4yx.png

Thanks to a "great" engineer, Adam Smith's Trading Company was also constructed in the Taj Mahalic Age, where the modern system of Economics were first developed.
It brought
+1 trade routes in all cities, + 1 commerce per specialist
to the Ican people.

One often less reported effect the Taj Mahalic Age had on the Ican people was the expansion of Inca's military. By the end of the era, all but two Ican cities were defended by highly trained Riflemen. The cause for such rapid military growth was first called for by General Z4ck, commander of the ship z4ckDaBeast Forever, for he feared a surprise invasion by Mali forces. His fear were quickly put to ease.

But of course all good things have to end. Historians mark the end of the Taj Mahalic Age during the economic crisis of 1585, when a large ship containing a years cargo of blubber sank on its trip from Whales to the Incan continent. While this did not impact the nation as a whole (in fact, the economic output of 1585 was 6 million more than the year prior), the island-city itself was devastated, with over two-thirds of its population now out of work.

Before the crisis (8-freakin'-00 :science: )
Spoiler :
picture2df.png

After the crisis:
Spoiler :
picture3uj.png

You can easily see the effects this had on the Ican people.

Spoiler :
picture3np.png

In 1595, J.S. Bach's Cathedral was completed. J.S. Bach lived his live raising money for his people living in Whales, and through his career raised millions of dollars for his cause. After his death, the Incan government approved construction of a Cathedral to honor him and made the Incan people much happier.
+ 2 :) in every continental city, + 10 :culture:

Will the Incan people claim more of Newland? Will the island of Whales ever recover? Will more Great buildings be constructed in Cuzco? Find out next time, on Build, Baby, Build. :hammer:

Oh, that's probably why. I guess I just assumed that it didn't take him that long, or that he copied it in from Word or a similar program.

That's why. I write that as I play, so add in the playing time, plus the writing time, plus the time it takes to upload all the images, plus the breaks I take between, it quickly adds up.

Cool, I thought that was too long for only writing that update.

The early years of the 17th century were peaceful, if not quiet. Growth was slow, but steady. Several new cities were founded, but none on Newland. Technological breakthroughs seemed to occur nearly on a daily basis. Chemistry, Biology, Electricity, the list goes on and on. Some may say it was even a boring age. This period was known as the Quiet Era.

Spoiler :
picture1cow.png

This period ended in 1650 with the construction of the Kremlin, a monument to the uneventful half century, giving me nothing to wright about!

The economic madness began in 1655 when a risky settlement was made in the icy parts up north. The land proved unprofitable, and Inca soon developed a nation debt of 12 million dollars, and that was creating a huge mark in Inca's treasury. The debt soon passed 15 million, then 17 million, then 20 million. The wound was made deeper with the discovery of combustion. One would think that a better system of transportation would give a huge boast to the economy, but Whales, the world's largest exporter of blubber, was still recovering from the crisis of 1585, despite the fact that a whole century has passed. Oil quickly surpassed blubber as a means of lighting, and the economy of Whales plummeted, leaving thousands homeless. This was known as the Depresion Era.

Spoiler :
picture2cb.png

Flight was discovered in 1700 and officially rocket Inca into the Modern Age. Inca was still suffering from the Deppression, but it was much better than before.

Spoiler :
picture1kk.png

The recession wasn't "officially" over until the construction of The Statue of Liberty was completed. Inca was now at a profit, 4 million dollars per turn. The economic crisis has robbed millions of their jobs and the Incan treasury of over 110 million dollars, but it was finally over.

In 1735, the assembly line was invented, and production was a much bigger concern for the Incan government.

Spoiler :
picture2ad.png

In 1755, facism was discovered, a great general was born, who built a military academy.

Spoiler :
picture3mrr.png

In 1770, Ironworks, the world's largest factory, was constructed in Cuzco. This doubled the city's production.

This was a veeeeeery boring and uneventful era of Inca's history. I had trouble finding anything to write about. Nearly 2 and a half centuries past in this one update alone! :crazyeye:

So what do you think about my writing style I used for this update? Should I stick with the story-style, or go back to the writing style I used earlier and just report what happens in the game? ALL answers are welcome (I NEED TO BE LOVED  )

Sorry about the wait, folks! What with Spring Break ending and a massive amount of homework, I hadn't had a lot of time for this story. But I'm back

And because I feel as though I don't do this often enough, the Incan Empire as of 1780:

We also spread Christianity to 2 new cities, rocketing Christianity to 62% of the globe

"62%!? Why, that's more than half!", our great leader shouted, who then patted himself on the back for discovering that.

In 1820, we completed Wall Street in Machu Pichu, and our empire is making a profit of 42 milllion dollars per turn at 100% science

Here's a couple of screen shots of Cuzco for ye viewing pleasure:

In 1836, computers were discovered and obsoleting several very useful wonders. We have now entered a second depression. (before +50 gold/turn after -8 gold/turn)

For once, the island of Whales was not the worst sufferer. This is mainly due to government aid be sent to the island and the newly constructed military base.

Spoiler :
picture1qyv.png

In 1848, the Pentagon was constructed as a "base of operations" for the Incan military. Sgt. Zack, now chairman of the military, approved construction of this great wonder. "The Stone Age doesn't last forever." he was quoted when asked about the building. All military operations and expansion would be granted in this building.

Spoiler :
picture3pt.png

1848 also marked the year the Christianity spread to every city in the world. 72% of the world now followed it.

Spoiler :
picture6u.png

"72%!? Why, that's nearly 3/4ths! " , our great leader said, who then gave himself the rest of the day off.

Spoiler :
picture1pj.png

In 1860, the SETI Program was started, which gave
Free laboratory in every city, +50% spaceship construction in its city
While the Incan Government has launched satellites and rockets into space before, this was the first large-scale government project that involved space.

Spoiler :
picture1vj.png

1868 marked the year Fusion was discovered. Since we have completed the tech tree and all my cities are well above the happiness and health cap, I adopt Universal Suffrage and move the Science slider to zero. A great Engineer was born in Cuzco.
