Build ques in Phobos, 5.3

For a current summary of the cities, including current build ques, please check the sticky one.

Not much has changed in this province since last time. The only thing new is that I would like to add a coastal fortress to THDP. The mongols are close to the nort-west and their war ships have been spotted in the area. This indicates that THDP will likely have its share of mongol naval attacks in the neir future. Comments?
 
I'm not normally an advocate of coastal fortresses so can you tell me how many shields they require please?
I once played a game when my coastal city was constantly bombarded by rank after rank of AI battleships so I just left the city without any troops in and they couldn't do anything. It never occurred to them to actually land troops or a helicopter in the city. :lol:
 
A coastal fortress costs 80 shields. I have also noted the peculiar behviour of the AI to send endless streams of ships but almost no troops. However, it does happen occasinonally that they send a transport of two. And I would not want anything to happen to our SSC...
 
We should have maximum protection for our SSC so I say go ahead with the coastal fortress. We are doing a good job in outresearching our opponents and we should continue to do so, therefore we cannot afford losing our SSC.
 
A coastal fortress would be good, but we should also consider having some warships floating around to assert naval superiority and ensure that we can move our transports without fear of enemy attack. After we have "secured" the area by decimating the various civs around us then we can use the warships to take the attack to the other AI cities.
 
I have added the coastal fortress to THDP´s build que. :)
